I would without hesitation recommend Nicki Carson to everyone interested in general training of their horse, teaching proper ground manners, improving their equitation (hunt seat, jumping, dressage), and training in cross country or trail riding. Nicki is completely dedicated and enthusiastic about every single horse she trains and her natural abilities are impressive.

Avalon Farm says: “Nicki Carson has helped us on our farm for several years. She has advised us on broodmare management, foaling and foal management, as well as being personally involved in the physical organization of our breeding operation. She has done routine and show grooming and has trained and ridden horses successfully in hunter and dressage competition for our farm. Nicki has ridden since childhood. She is an excellent rider who works diligently with well known clinicians to further her already impressive skills. She has worked as a veterinarian’s assistant.
We have found Nicki to be quite reliable; on one occasion, she even drove through an intense snow storm to help us get a very frightened, recently rescued, Thoroughbred across an icy stream and into the barn! She has, on any and all occasions, displayed the utmost in integrity. She has always treated our horses, and indeed her own, with love and compassion.
She is an attractive and pleasant person who communicates clearly and relates well to others.
Nicki is an accomplished horse woman. We recommend her with great confidence!”
Lloyd and Kay Lamp, Avalon Farms, Frederick Maryland
“I can highly recommend Nicki Carson for either starting a young horse or bringing an older one along. Her kind and knowledgeable approach will ensure the horse reaches his full potential in just about any discipline – from trail riding to dressage to hunters to showing in-hand.”

Just another form of bombproofing! What a good boy!
FCF Sport Horses attended Shadowbrook at Gettysburg this morning. The mount for the morning was Starsky a 4 year old paint gelding. Starsky has been in training with Nicki for just under 90 days and this was his showing debut! He couldn’t have been better! He was on his toes upon arrival but quickly settled in even during the busy warm-up ring. He competed in the Pleasure 2′ division and placed in every class! He even cantered bravely down to every fence. We look forward to seeing him out in the show ring again soon!

Sept. 12, 2009 Flying Chesterfield Farm made the trek out to Chestertown, Md in the rain to High Point Hanoverians 2009 Oldenburg Horse Show. Besides the rain we had a wonderful time watching all the beautiful horses that were on display over the weekend! This was the second ever German Oldenburg Verband (GOV) Oldenburg Horse Show held outside of germany.
Our 2009 colt Seven N’ Seven (Sinatra Song X Dutch Treatt) showed in the 2009 Colts class against 10 other wonderful babies to come out in the #2 spot! The judges even stated that he was the “Best moving colt in the class”. We are very excited by his sucess in the ring this weekend. He was also there for the OHBS Inspection for which he was awarded premium status.
Deliza (DeLaurentis X Dutch Treatt) owned by Brett Schrack and bred by FCF competed in the highly competetive Filly’s of 2007 class where she came out with 4th place! Also, she competed in the Hunter In-Hand class for young horses with a 4th place finsh.
Special thanks to David Taylor for his excellent handling of the FCF horses!
We look forward to next year’s show!
